Zonta Leadership Event

Five of our female student leaders, Charlee Newby, Ellie Kilty, Abii Bingle, Niamh Frizzell and Ashleigh Squires, attended the Zonta Women’s Breakfast at the Manawatu Golf Club on Friday 8 March. Zonta is an international association founded in 1919 which is run by women, for the benefit of advancing other women around the world.

This year the Zonta Breakfast was held on International Women’s Day with guest speaker Kristine Bartlett. Kristine was named New Zealander of the Year 2018 after successfully campaigning a $2 billion pay settlement for low wage earners in the care industry. Her inspirational speech received a standing ovation at the breakfast and the event proved a valuable experience for our young women leaders.
