Bebras Computing Challenge

Between Wednesday 14 and Friday 16 March, a number of Year 10 and 11 Digital Technology students took part in the Bebras Computing Challenge. This competition tests computational skills through different types of fun and challenging problems. The competition is offered to 50 countries around the world and had over 450 entries from New Zealand. Two of our students performed particularly well in the national categories. These students were Winter Allerby who scored top in New Zealand in the Year 11 Age Group and Lucy Gilligan who scored top in the Castors Group. Well done to all of our students who competed in this year’s challenge.

Mrs Daysh also established the hugely successful Seeking Success fund and Op-Shop. On behalf of the staff and student body, we thank Mrs Daysh for her service to the College and wish her all the best for the future. During the assembly, students performed an impromptu Haka as a send off for her.
