Seeking Success Op Shop - Late Night!

The Seeking Success Op Shop (located next to the College Library) is open every lunchtime. The Op Shop will also be open for a SPECIAL LATE NIGHT on Wednesday 27 June from 3.30-6.45pm. This will coincide with the first night of the Art Weeks Soiree. All proceeds from the Op Shop go directly to Seeking Success - a fund that has been set up by Awatapu students for the direct benefit of their fellow pupils. PPTA Union Meeting - School Closes 12.15pm

The PPTA have advised there will be a union meeting for teachers on Thursday 7 June. As such, the school will be closing at 12.15pm on Thursday 7 June. The library will be open until 3.15pm should your child need supervision for the remainder of the day. Please contact Mr Peter Howarth, Acting Deputy Principal, on 356 4817 if your child requires supervision until 3.15pm on this day. Buses will run as normal.

NZQA Fees

Students entered into internal or external NCEA standards must pay NZQA fees every year to have their results recorded on their Record of Achievement, and to receive certificates.

There is a separate fee structure for domestic students and international students. Financial assistance is available for domestic students to help with the payment of entry fees. Financial assistance is not available to international fee-paying students. Families who meet the financial assistance criteria based on income, benefit or multiple-candidate applications will have their fees reduced. This fee will cover all NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship examinations.

The NZQA fee structure remains largely unchanged to previous years. However, a couple of years ago there was a change for students who are considering doing New Zealand Scholarship exams and are not eligible for financial assistance. Each Scholarship exam now incurs a $30 fee in addition to the $76.70 NCEA assessment fee.

If you have any queries regarding school fees or how to make payments, please contact the school office on 356 4817 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
